York was once the Viking city of Jorvik, and every year in February they celebrate it’s Viking heritage by throwing a huge festival named “Jorvik Viking Festival”, which lasts for a week, and is ended by a battle and a boat burning. (Photos taken by myself last year)
Now I am lucky enough and proud to come from such an epic city, and this year is going to be even better cos this is the year I’m helping out with the celebrations and also they are throwing a gig just for the occasion. Tyr are playing their first UK gig here for a one off special!
