Its for men and women and its an important class.
The school I went to got rid of it saying that it was dated and sexist, other schools in my area have also gotten rid of it and i see a lot of feminist articles bag on it.
Home ec is an important and helpful class.. infact one of the most useful classes that is offered in primary school.
It teaches you how to cook, which Ive noticed a lot of young people cant figure out how to do. Which is sad cause not only is it a necessary skill to have, and is part of caring for yourself.. but its also important to health. People who dont know how to cook lead less healthy lives.
it also teaches things like how to sew. which btw is something they taught in the military. Infact they also taught men how to knit in the military. This is just another useful skill. If a seam rips or something needs hemming. and if you learn to knit you could make useful garments
i dont know all of the things it teaches cause I unfortunately never got that class. But it teaches a lot of basic skills that are needed to grow in to a well rounded adult and know how to care for yourself and your home.
What is sexist about that?
